What are the different squaring modes (Blur, Solid, Crop)?
Blur Frame: Our most popular option. It fills the square area with a beautiful, high-quality blurred version of your own image, creating a professional, seamless look. Solid Color: Allows you to choose a specific background color to frame your photo, perfect for maintaining a consistent brand aesthetic. Crop to Fill: If you prefer a traditional square crop, this mode intelligently centers your image to fill the entire square frame.
Which image formats are supported for upload?
SquarePic supports all modern image formats, including JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (static), AVIF, and SVG. For optimal performance, we recommend files under 20MB.
What are the best export settings for social media?
We offer three export formats: WebP (Recommended, best balance of quality and size), JPEG (Best for standard photographs), and PNG (Best for lossless precision or images with text). For JPEG and WebP, you can adjust the quality slider from 10% to 100% to suit your needs.
Why is the quality slider disabled for PNG exports?
PNG is a lossless format, meaning it preserves every pixel perfectly. Because it doesn't use lossy compression, a "quality" setting isn't applicable. If you need to reduce file size, we recommend switching to WebP or JPEG formats.
I noticed a slight difference between the preview and the final export. Why?
While we strive for 100% parity, minor variations can occasionally occur due to how different browsers render CSS effects versus raw canvas data. If you notice a significant discrepancy, try performing the edit in a modern browser like Chrome or Edge for the most accurate results.
Is SquarePic compatible with mobile devices?
Yes! SquarePic is fully responsive and works beautifully on iOS and Android devices. You can "square" your photos on the go, directly from your phone's gallery, using the same powerful features available on the desktop version. Note: For mobile, use the "Browse Files" button as drag-and-drop support varies.
